Overview
NPO Waffle is dedicated to empowering women and transforming social structures to build a society where everyone can thrive in the tech field. Waffle runs diverse programs including “Waffle Camp” for middle and high school girls, “Waffle College” for university students, and support for Japan’s participation in the global Technovation Girls contest. The organization also partners with private companies and proposes public policy recommendations to close gender gaps. In 2020, Waffle received the SDGs Partnership Award at the Japan SDGs Awards for its impactful initiatives.
Initiative details
We will establish a new startup development model, Women × Tech × Global, by combining technology and entrepreneurship, based in Tokyo. The program offers high-potential young women from across Japan an opportunity to take on the challenge of launching their own ventures. It includes seminars with global female entrepreneurs to foster an international mindset, and cultivates Tokyo-based role models through collaboration with local companies and investors.
