Initiative details

This project will provide universities and research institutions in Tokyo (as well as teams outside of Tokyo that wish to start a business in Tokyo) with a program to commercialize deep tech at the pre-seed and seed stages under the title of TOKYO TCP (Technology Commercialization Program). While providing programs to commercialize deep tech at the pre-seed, seed, and early-mid stages, the program will (1) create momentum for young entrepreneurs such as university students, researchers, and PhDs to become interested in DTSU and discover the seeds of DTSU, (2) foster DTSU entrepreneurs (broaden the base) and support their growth to unicorn status (raise the height), and (3) strengthen universities, cultivate supporters, and provide support for the creation of DTSU. (3) Strengthening universities, fostering supporters, and creating a support community for the creation of DTSU. This will contribute to the formation of a deep tech startup ecosystem in Tokyo that ranks with the rest of the world, and to the achievement of the “10x10x10” vision.
