Overview
Endeavor is a global organization founded in New York in 1997 to support high-potential entrepreneurs. It now operates in over 46 countries worldwide. Endeavor provides entrepreneurs aiming to scale globally with access to a world-class mentor network, fundraising support, and hands-on guidance for growth strategy. To date, it has contributed to the creation of 86 unicorns globally. The Endeavor community has grown to include over 2,700 entrepreneurs, who collectively generate more than 4 million jobs and approximately 10 trillion yen in annual revenue worldwide. Endeavor Japan, the local office, was established in 2017. It is committed to the internationalization and sustainable development of Japan’s startup ecosystem by supporting domestic entrepreneurs in their global expansion and helping overseas startups enter the Japanese market. By leveraging a strong network of business leaders and investors both in Japan and abroad, Endeavor Japan promotes entrepreneurial growth and innovation.
Initiative details
This initiative aims to strategically support the entry of globally active startups into the Japanese market, thereby enhancing the international competitiveness of Tokyo’s startup ecosystem.
Endeavor Japan leverages its global network and selection expertise to attract high-potential entrepreneurs to Tokyo, providing end-to-end support from company setup and registration to
business development and partnerships.Target startups will be selected based on their track record of international expansion and strong interest in entering the Japanese market.
Our support includes one-on-one mentoring on market entry strategies, curated meetings with potential corporate partners, assistance with hiring local country managers, and hands-on
guidance for incorporation and bank account setup. In addition, we will host a global summit to foster knowledge sharing and connect domestic and international stakeholders.This is not
just a market entry program—it is a platform for long-term business establishment. Through this hands-on approach, we aim to embed the Endeavor Multiplier Effect™ in Japan,
enabling successful global entrepreneurs to support the next generation of Japanese founders and creating a sustainable, internationally connected innovation ecosystem in Tokyo.
