Initiative details
Business matching in order to expand the resources of social start-up companies (hereinafter the “SU”) that address social issues in Tokyo and the acceleration program so as to foster the “start-up.” In forming communities, we enrich resources through providing the opportunities of coworking specialized to the “SU” and holding “how to” events that are required for the “SU” to develop their businesses. We also help them advance their business stage. In acceleration programs, we acquire new customers and support the start-up companies’ growth through hands-on support to them, totaling 15 people. The characteristics of the social start-up we support this time are that, since the market size is too small when it comes to focusing only on domestic ones, in terms of the difficulties of “exit,” more and more the “SU” are expanding their business to the global market from their seed stage. Thus, by assisting the “SU” in its seed stage through this plan, they will be able to contribute to extending their business into the global marketplace.

Details
TOKYO SOCIAL COMMUNE
After planning the concept and preparing for the project last year, our initiative to support startups addressing social issues has now been fully launched. We issued a press release on February 25, 2025, announcing the official launch of our project. Through the opening of a coworking space, hosting events, and running an acceleration program, we are building a wide network of social entrepreneurs and supporters. Our goal is to create a foundation for an ecosystem in Tokyo’s YNK area (Yaesu, Nihonbashi and Kyobashi) that balances social impact with economic development.
Coworking Space
Consultation with our staff
"TOUCH," a coworking space for people interested in social issues, opened on February 5, 2025, in Kyobashi. It serves as a hub where social entrepreneurs and intermediary supporters can gather and connect. Community managers and staff member provide business matching and consultation services to accelerate the growth of members.
Events
Invite only pre-opening event
Nearly 100 people attended our invite only pre-opening event, which served as a valuable networking opportunity for social entrepreneurs and supporters. We will continue to regularly host events and workshops, creating opportunities for new collaborations.
Acceleration Program
Acceleration program
The acceleration program "RISE," designed for entrepreneurs addressing social challenges, kicked off on April 12, 2025. We will provide lectures, mentoring, and practical support to the 15 selected participants, fostering the implementation of their projects in society. We will hold the final presentation event on August 30, 2025, where participants of the acceleration program will share their progress. The event is open to the public, and we look forward to having you join us!
