In this project, we aim to create a starting point for “building a new ecosystem” where “Patient Capital (flexible funds with high tolerance)” from all over the world will flow into the Pre-Seed Stage of “future Impact Unicorn companies*” that get in operation social issues, a huge market in Japan. We consider that social entrepreneurs (e.g. Impact Startups) have a unique “valley of death”. We view this valley of death as a “hole in the market” and aim to create an ecosystem that realizes “Global x 10” by bridging economic growth through Patient Capital. Specifically, we aim to achieve the following goals through R&D about PatientCapital and the “Tokyo Startup Pitch (tentative name)” to which funders from around the world are invited.
Impact Unicorn companies: Impact startups that are unlisted, have a valuation of $1 billion or more, and use technology to transform social issues into engines of economic growth.
